Our Story
A slower way of making. A gentler way of living.
MIKACLAY began in 2026, when founder Eric met ceramic artist Xia at a coffee festival market. Their shared love for handmade ceramics—and their belief in slowing down in a fast-moving world—became the beginning of MIKACLAY.
For us, working with clay is more than making objects. It is a way to slow down, find calm, and rediscover the beauty of everyday life.
Every piece is shaped by hand, carrying subtle variations, natural textures, and traces of the making process. Through these small imperfections, we celebrate individuality, optimism, and the simple joy of living.
Made slowly. Shaped by hand. Made to be kept.
Every Piece Is Made with Intention
Every MIKACLAY piece is shaped by hand with time, patience, and care. Natural textures and subtle imperfections give each creation its own character.
Every Piece Is Made with Intention
Every MIKACLAY piece goes through a slow, considered process—from shaping and drying to glazing or hand-painting, followed by kiln firing.
Depending on the clay body and finish, our ceramics are typically fired at approximately 1,000–1,300°C (1,832–2,372°F), with a firing cycle often lasting 8–12 hours, followed by gradual cooling.
Fire transforms simple clay into a lasting piece of ceramic art—preserving the textures, colors, and traces of the maker’s hands.
